2. Natural source of electrolytes
It's no secret that coconut water is seen as a natural sports drink, this is because coconut water contains electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium. The electrolytes in coconut water play a major role in the immune mechanism to fight infection. Therefore, electrolyte deficiencies should be avoided as much as possible.
"Electrolytes in coconut water can help regulate fluid balance, prevent dehydration, and ensure proper muscle function. Of course, we must also ensure adequate protein and carbohydrates when exposed. In addition, these electrolytes are good to eat after exercise," said Dr. Rita.

3. Prevent hypertension and cardiovascular disease
Usually, potassium compounds are close to bananas. However, did you know that the potassium content in coconut water is higher than in medium-sized bananas? There are more and more arguments for drinking coconut water. Of course, you can experience the benefits for your heart and blood vessels.
Various previous and recent studies have found that potassium content is good for overall cardiovascular health, from preventing heart disease, hypertension, to stroke. This is because high potassium can remove sodium from the blood through the urine and relax the blood vessels.

Next, Dr. Rita explained the benefits of magnesium in coconut water. As one of the electrolytes, apparently, this content is good for digestion. Adequate hydration is generally important to help regulate bowel movements.
"Coconut water contains magnesium, a mineral that helps keep things moving and keeps constipation at bay," says Dr. Rita in a launch.
According to various studies, coconut water helps fill body fluids in diarrhea patients. However, it must be remembered that consuming too much coconut water actually has a laxative effect on the stomach and triggers diarrhea. So, just consume as needed.
5. Good for diabetes
For diabetic patients, sweet things are prohibited. However, coconut water can be one way out. Although evidence for humans is still being sought, coconut water has been found to suppress blood sugar levels.

9. Rehydration after vaccination or when you are sick
