Netgenz - Politic International | At least 17 people were killed when Taliban members opened fire in the air to celebrate victory after claiming to have captured Afghanistan's only unconquered area, the Pansjhir Valley. Shamshad and Tolo news agencies reported that a dozen people were killed when the Taliban fired "fire into the air" in Kabul. Apart from that, There were 41 other people also injured in the incident. Not only in Kabul, but at least 14 other people were also injured because members of the Taliban in Nangarhar province opened fire in a similar celebration. The Taliban's main spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, also appealed to its members not to celebrate victory by firing into the air.

“Avoid getting shot in the air and thank God. Bullets can injure civilians, so don't shoot unnecessarily," Mujahid said as quoted by Reuters. The Taliban are celebrating victory after the group claimed it had captured the only area in Afghanistan they had not conquered, the Panjshir Valley. However, anti-Taliban forces in Panjshir dispute these claims.
