Jokowi received input from residents and officials regarding the availability of vaccines. One of the health workers said that the Covid-19 vaccination in Lampung would be carried out faster if the vaccine stock was large. "Later, I will order the Ministry of Health to increase the number of vaccines in Lampung Province," said Jokowi at the event, quoted from a written statement from the Presidential Secretariat, Thursday (2/9). Jokowi directly inspected the Covid-19 vaccination at SMA Negeri 2, Bandar Lampung City.

He also checked vaccinations in a number of locations via video teleconferencing. The former mayor of Solo hopes that more residents will follow the Covid-19 vaccination. He also asked the public not to be careless even though they had received the Covid-19 vaccine. “Even though I was vaccinated, I was also entrusted with it, I still wore a mask, kept my distance, and also avoided crowds. And don't forget to wash your hands after activities," Jokowi said. Lampung is one of the provinces with the lowest Covid-19 vaccination achievements. This province has just completed the first dose of about 13.12 percent of the target or 871,850 people on September 1. For the second dose, Lampung has only run 7.99 percent of the target, or about 531,085 people.
