How to Spike Up Your Computer Performance
1. One of the first steps you need to take is to empty the Recycle Bin.
That's easy to do. Point the cursor to the Recycle Bin symbol on your desktop, right-click, and specify "Empty Recycle Bin".
Next, open your Internet Explorer, open Tools, Internet Options. Click "Delete Cookies", then "Delete Files". In the window that appears, tick "Remove all content offline" and click OK. When finished, click OK to close the Internet Options window, and close your Internet Explorer. The two methods just now are the fastest, and the simplest, so that's why we're solving them first.
2. Perform a Disk Cleanup.
To do this, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Mechanism Tools, Disk Cleanup. The disk cleanup role is now starting to calculate how much space you can free up. Once done, it will give you a list of files to delete. There should be a lot of files checked, but you can go through the list and check all the files you want to delete, then click OK.
3. Now is the time to defragment the disk.
This can be a lengthy process, so you may have to prepare for it while you do other things. For example, organize, then watch your favorite TV show, or mowing the lawn, or sports. you understand. To start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter. Click Analytics. If you're lucky, you'll get a "You don't need to defragment this volume" call, but chances are, you should click "Defragment". So click on it, do something else and come back in an hour or two.
4. Run spyware blocking.
A lot of people don't know how easy it is to get spyware, so doing periodic scanning is highly recommended. You can use the anti-spyware program you specify. Realize that no one program will get rid of them all. To play it safe, you'll need to run at least three different programs. You may be surprised by what they get. You may have spyware running on your computer and not know it. After the approval is over, and all the spyware is resolved, it's time for the last resort.
5. The last way is to run anti-virus scanning.
Hopefully, you have an anti-virus program installed on your computer. If not, I really recommend that you get one as soon as possible. Once the anti-virus program is set up, go ahead and do it. This can take anywhere from 20 minutes to a while depending on how many files you have on your hard drive so one more time, organize, and do something else. Come back in about an hour.
6. Finally Restart your computer
You will be surprised to see how agile your computer is today. It's a good idea to follow these 6 methods at least once a week (steps that you can even prepare to do automatically). By doing this, you will keep your computer's performance almost the same as when you first bought it, check other computer and netbook guide articles.
